2019 Michigan Education Association Scholarship
- Dependent of an MEA member or MEA-Retired Member in good standing
- Graduate of a Michigan public high school
- Will attend a Michigan public institution
NAFEPA Scholarship Program
The purpose of this scholarship program is to financially support post-secondary education for qualifying seniors or high school graduates attending their first year of college. Two scholarships are for students pursuing degrees in Education and the other two scholarships may be awarded to applicants pursuing degrees in Education or any other field. Information can be picked up in the counseling office!
AAA School Safety Patrol Scholarship
Two $2,500 scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors who served as AAA School Safety Patrol members in Michigan. Students must submit documentation of AAA School Safety Patrol participation, good academic standing and a strong record of participation in the community and extra-curricular activities. SPECIAL TREE HEALTHCARE SCHOLARSHIP
Special Tree Rehabilition System is pleased to announce the availability of scholarship awards for senior students from selected school districts who are planning on continue their education in a health care career. Must have a minimum 2.5 GPA, specified interested in a health care career, completed application, and recommendations. One $1,000, one year, non-renewable award will be awarded to one student within each eligible school district.

The Judith Herb College of Education is fortunate to have a strong alumni base who support our students. With over 50 endowed scholarships just for education majors, we annually award funds to over 140 students. These college scholarships are on top of any merit and university-level awards. Herb Scholars Program, the most prestigious scholarship awarded by the Judith Herb College of Education. The Herb family recognize, encourage and support teachers of the future as they make their way into classrooms that will generate the leaders of tomorrow. The Herb Scholars Program is valued at full-time, in-state undergraduate tuition and general fees, room and board for up to eight semesters of undergraduate enrollment. The projected value of this scholarship is $82,000.
Matthew Edwards Memorial Scholarship
The Matthew Edwards Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #123 is proud to offer a scholarship to students from downriver high schools. The scholarship is named in honor of Cpl. Matthew Edwards, a Taylor police officer who was killed in the line of duty July 23, 2010. Candidates must either attend a recognized Christian College or major in Criminal Justice. Ave Maria Foundation
The Ave Maria Scholarship is now open to Michigan residents who are first-time college freshmen with a GPA of 2.8 (unweighted) or above, or an SAT score of 1100 or above. Students must be accepted for admission at Ave Maria University for Fall 2018 and a practicing Catholic. Students must maintain a university GPA of at least 2.5 to keep the $3,500/semester scholarship. Complete the online application at www.avemaria/apply.

InstaEDU and Chegg
There's a new partnership between InstaEdu and Chegg dedicated to bringing free college counseling to first-generation college-bound students. All students who are registered on ImFirst.org,-non-profit Center for Student Opportunity's online community providing first-generation, low-income college students with inspiration, information and support on the path to and through college--are eligible to receive two free hours of on-demand college counseling on InstaEDU.
Tuition Funding Sources Scholarship Website
For the first time, students will have access to the Tuition Funding Sources scholarship website. Students will have access to millions of scholarships and grants. Wells Fargo Bank is sponsoring the scholarship matching website that also includes a career personality test along with college and career planning tips and tools.
