Joyce Ivy Foundation Summer Scholars Program
The Joyce Ivy Foundation is looking for talented female sophomores and juniors to participate in its summer program. Scholarships are available for girls to participate in academic summer programs at some of the country's top colleges, including Barnard, Brown, Cornell, Emory, Harvard, Johns Hopkins, MIT, Smith, Stanford, Wash U & Yale. American Academy of Art Open House
Students are invited to attend an Open House at the American Academy of Art on Saturday, January 27th. Students will be able to learn about career opportunities for artists, becoming a professional artist, job placement assistance and acceptance to the academy. Detroit 2067 Youth Immersion (Spring Break) Program
The Detroit Historical Society is offering a Spring Break program to help students to better understand the Detroit 67 Project--the multiyear endeavor designed to commemorate the 50th anniversary of July 1967 in Detroit. The student application is available in the counseling office. Students who successfully complete this program will also receive a $350.00 scholarship. Lawrence Tech University
Lawrence Tech has many new initiatives taking place on campus. First, the university will now offer a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). This highly selective program is looking for qualified students. Also, the athletic programs have expanded to include football starting in the fall of 2018.
U of M Flint Direct Admit Program for Nursing
High School students interested in nursing who have a 3.4 GPA or better and a SAT 1160/ACT 24 are eligible for the U of M Flint Nursing direct admit program. Applicants who are selected will have a reserved spot in the BSN program once they have finished their Pre-Nursing prerequisite work. The Direct Admit Program provides guaranteed admission to this highly competitive program. Apply to U of M Flint as a Pre-Nursing major, submit your Nursing Direct Admission Application by applying at umflint.edu/nursing-direct and complete an interview and writing reflection. Students will be informed of their acceptance into the Direct Admit Program approximately three weeks after interviews.

Smith College in Northampton, MA offers precollege programs for exceptional young women. Students take courses and workshops throughout each day and choose from a variety of organized cultural, social, athletic and artistic activities at night and on weekends. InstaEDU and Chegg
There's a new partnership between InstaEdu and Chegg dedicated to bringing free college counseling to first-generation college-bound students. All students who are registered on ImFirst.org,--non-profit Center for Student Opportunity's online community providing first-generation, low-income college students with inspiration, information and support on the path to and through college--are eligible to receive two free hours of on-demand college counseling on InstaEDU.

Scholarships are listed by a variety of categories including by major, college, state, race, athletics, activities, etc. The site has recently added a new feature that automatically sends a weekly email to a student when a new scholarship that closely aligns to the student profile has been added to the database.

For the first time students will have access to the Tuition Funding Sources scholarship website. Students will have access to millions of scholarships and grants. Wells Fargo Bank is sponsoring the scholarship matching website that also includes a career personality test along with college and career planning tips and tools.
